My Career So Far

My baptism into the world of entertainment began at a very early age when I entertained passengers on board a cruise ship when I sang that classic song ‘New York, New York’. On further cruises I also entertained passengers at the grand piano.

A few years later I took part in a show at the Royal Opera House in York where I sang a medley of songs, ably accompanied by a bevy of young female dancers.

In 2005 I was invited by the ‘Not Forgotten Association for ex-servicemen’ to perform at their annual concert at St James' Palace. The highlight of my day was being introduced to HRH Princess Anne.

For Christmas 2007 I recorded my debut Christmas single ‘Hands Around The World’ in association with the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign. The song came top of the charts for two weeks over the Christmas period on the download site Audio Lunchbox, but was then relegated to third place behind Rosemary Clooney and Frank Sinatra.

I suddenly came to the world's attention in 2008 when I performed on the popular TV show ‘Britain's Got Talent’. This led him to having over 4 million hits on YouTube.

I was immediately invited to the Philippines by the ABS-CBN Global TV network for a three-week promotional visit. During that time I appeared on 15 television shows and also performed in concerts. It was great, and I was invited to return for the Christmas and New Year celebrations. My hour long New Years Eve concert at the prestigious Makati Shangri-La hotel received a standing ovation from the delighted hotel guests.

Then I was also invited to sing for the President of the Philippines, Gloria Arroyo and, before returning to the UK, met the legendary Filipino World Boxing Champion, Manny Pacquiao, who requested that I sing the much loved Filipino song ‘Dahil Sa ‘Yo’.

Also in 2008 I made my acting debut in the short film ‘Waiting in Rhyme’. The film's dialog consisted entirely of poetry and was in aid of the Macmillan Cancer Support.

During March and April 2009 I was a special guest on the Sarah Geronimo ‘The Next One’ tour of the USA.  I appeared in 13 different cities in 7 weeks and performed in such places as New York, Los Angeles, San Fransisco, Chicago and Las Vegas, where I sang on the same stage as Frank Sinatra had years before.

I returned to the USA and Canada in October for another short tour.

I won three awards at the 22nd Awit Awards Ceremony in the Philippines. These are the equivalent of the Grammy Awards in the USA. I won the ‘Best Jazz Recording Artiste Award’. ‘Best Performance by a New Male Artiste’ and ‘Best Performance by a Child Artiste’.

continued...

In 2010 I recorded his CD album ‘A Friend Like You’ for Viva Entertainment. This was produced by renowned Los Angeles producer, Christian De Walden.

In May, I jetted off to the USA and Canada for another 5-week tour.
I then followed this with a concert tour of the Philippines in July and August.

In October I paid his first visit to Italy where he took part in the famous TV show ‘Ti Lascio Una Canzone’.  I was invited back in November for the final show of the series. Also in November I was invited to China to perform at the ‘Television Fashion Awards Ceremony’ in Shanghai. After returning home for the Christmas celebrations I returned to China to sing at the ‘New Years Eve Countdown TV Show’ in Shanghai's City Centre Square.

In March 2011, I paid his first visit to Japan where he was guest entertainer at the annual TV show ‘Sekai 1 No Showtime’. The annual show attracts around 20 million viewers.

Due to my voice going through the natural transition from boy to man's voice, I have spent the past few months working with my newly appointed singing teacher, Gillyanne Kayes, who is one of the UK's principal vocal coaches. Gillyanne is delighted with my  ‘new voice’ .. which is great! :D

During my short ‘Showbiz’ career I have worked hard at my craft in order to develop my talents further, so that I can perform to a much wider audience.
I pray that I have an exciting and prosperous career
I'll be writing another blog very shortly! :D
Keep Singing!
